  • What’s the typical sample quantity for robotic pipette tips?

 

For robotic tip testing, we understand that extensive validation may be needed. If your lab qualifies, we can provide up to:

  • Three lots

  • 3–5 boxes per lot

  • Up to 15 boxes total

Please indicate your estimated monthly usage in the request form. A HiComp representative will confirm sample eligibility before shipment.

  • How do I choose the right pipette tip for my experiment?

 
 

Start by determining whether you need sterile, filtered, or low-retention tips based on your application:

  • Use standard tips for general-purpose liquid handling (e.g., buffers, water).

  • Use filtered tips to prevent contamination or backflow during sensitive assays.

  • Use low-retention tips when working with small volumes, viscous liquids, or valuable reagents like enzymes or DNA.

For both robotic and universal pipette tips, the minimum order quantity is 10 cases (approximately 500 boxes total). We serve institutional and industrial labs and do not offer retail or small-volume sales. Custom sampling or trial quantities may be available depending on your testing phase—please contact a representative for more details.

We offer sterile tips processed via electron beam (E-beam) sterilization and in compliance with ISO 11137 standards. Filtered and non-filtered sterile options are available. We also offer non-sterile tips.
