Workflow

Concept & Requirement Definition

  • Objective: Define customer application scenarios and core functional requirements

  • HiComp Delivarables: Requirement assessment report, initial design proposal​

  • Client Collaboration: Provide application background, literature/patent references, key requirements (throughput, detection principle, etc.)

  • Chips per Month: None (mainly documentation and evaluation)

  • Duration: 2 – 4 weeks

Chip Design & Prototype Development

  • Objective: Complete chip structure design and produce first SU-8 molds and PDMS/CNC prototypes

  • HiComp Delivarables: CAD drawings, SU-8 molds, first functional verification chips​

  • Client Collaboration: Confirm design, provide testing requirements

  • Chips per Month: 20 – 50 chips/month (small-batch prototypes)

  • Duration: 2 – 4 weeks

Function Verification & Optimization

  • Objective: Iterative design and verification to ensure core functions meet requirements

  • HiComp Delivarables: Multiple design iterations, testing reports, optimization plans

  • Client Collaboration: Conduct experimental testing and provide feedback

  • Chips per Month: 50 – 200 chips/month (verification batches)

  • Duration: 2 – 3 months

Process Finalization & Pilot Production

  • Objective: Establish stable processes (bonding, packaging, surface treatment), enable consistent small-batch delivery, and develop pilot molds

  • HiComp Delivarables: Process documentation (SOPs), consistency reports, stable small-batch products, pilot molds

  • Client Collaboration: Confirm process plan, provide target testing conditions

  • Chips per Month: 200 – 1000 chips/month (pilot capacity)

  • Duration: 3 – 5 months

Mass Production Preparation

  • Objective: Develop mass-production molds and validate large-scale production feasibility

  • HiComp Delivarables: Mass-production molds, process validation reports, quality inspection plans

  • Client Collaboration: Confirm mold structure, define QC standards

  • Chips per Month: 1000–5000 chips/month (scale-up stage)

  • Duration: 3 – 5 months

Commercial Mass Production

  • Objective: Stable and continuous large-scale supply to meet commercial demand

  • HiComp Delivarables: Stable mass-produced chips, full QC documentation, packaging and delivery

  • Client Collaboration: Sign long-term supply agreements, provide regular market/application feedback

  • Chips per Month: ≥10,000 chips/month (expandable based on client demand)
